RBDNotSoBasic Project #2

put on your favorite pajamas and get ready to cozy up to the latest #RBDNotSoBasic project!

the inspiration for this project is the traditional log cabin block…made modern with riley blake designs tone-on-tone basic collection. each designer knocked it out of the park with their pillow!

the tone-on-tone collection is a mix of designer prints in blake, grey, cream, and white. they’re perfect on their own or mixed in with other basics. what would you make?

  • triangle

  • text

  • cherries

  • scissors

  • stars

  • stripes

  • daisy

  • and a few more!

i made (2) 18’’ x 18’’ large scale log cabin pillows with the grey and white tones. i started with a 4 1/2’’ square for the center and added 3 1/2’’ strips, creating the log cabin shape. it’s a great beginner weekend project. or, if you’re like me, you’re obsessed with throw pillows and decided to make more, hahaha!

the tone-on-tone collection is just one of many basic collections riley blake designs has to offer. have you seen crayola kaleidoscope? it’s arriving soon!
