i'm so excited! today is my stop on the chalk and paint fabrics blog tour. chalk and paint is sew caroline's third collection from art gallery fabrics. with a nod to all things creative and imaginative, this soft and colorful collection is pretty dreamy and i couldn't wait to create with it!
inspired by the latest video tutorial from missouri star quilt company and caroline's "writings on the wall" print, i created "make," a mini quilt for the creators inside us all.
i love the soft black hue from the "triangle brush tempera" print and without much thought, knew it had to be the contrast of my mini quilt.
i used a 5-1/2" block for my background and trimmed the overall combined blocks to 10" square. i love how each block is organic and unique. the texture the matchstick quilting gives this finished 18"x18" mini quilt is fun and don't you think "dripping paint cooling" is a perfect binding?
the center of this mini quilt is a blank canvas. you can make it personal and fun!
you're going to love caroline's newest collection!
