RBDNotSoBasic Project #4

color me excited to share with you the latest #RBDNotSoBasic project!

the inspiration for this project is centered around the launch of crayola kaleidoscope, a brand new basic from riley blake designs and crayola! the perfect match! the collection features a tone-on-tone orange peel pattern and is perfect for quilting, apparel, and home decor projects! the names match back to some of the crayola color names like bubble bath, chocolate chip, and jazzberry jam just to name a few. how fabulous and fun is that?

we asked the designers to make 6 kaleidoscope blocks (fitting right?). the block was designed by our very own RDBNotSoBasic designer, Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced.

finishing at 6’’, you can create some awesome depth with color placement and layout. if you squint, you can see an inner circle starting to take place in my blocks. a scrappy version is pretty cool too!

don’t worry, these blocks won’t be left unfinished. stay tuned for a fun announcement!

the crayola kaleidoscope collection is just one of many basic collections riley blake designs has to offer. have you seen blossom? it’s my first basic with RBD and launches next month! yay!
