published by Tuva Publishing, this book features 19 modern projects for your home. from lavender sachets to bento bags, there’s a project for everyone, including the beginner sewist!
when Sedef asked me to participate in her book launch, i had to say yes! it’s a gorgeous book! honestly, i had a hard time picking one project to make, but finally decided to make the scallop trivet. it’s just too cute, especially with the holidays right around the corner.
this project was quick and fun to make, especially in an afternoon. her instructions are precise and very clear, however, i clipped the scallop curves so when i turned the trivet to the outside, the curves would lay flat.
this project (and several others) are great for gifts! how cute would this scallop trivet be with a mug and hot chocolate? i made mine with Lori Holt’s new Shabby Basic. they’re the perfect colors and the texture is divine. i used Jill Howarth’s, Way Up North snowman for the center. the addition of peach just pulls it all together.
