Pin Drop Pineapple...

Sometimes you want to make something.

Sometimes you want to make something pretty.

Sometimes you want to make something quick and easy.

This modern Pin Drop Pineapple mini quilt is that just—pretty, quick and easy.

Using the 12’’ Pineapple Quilt Block Foundation Paper from It’s Sew Emma and my Riley Blake Designs basic, Pin Drop I made four pineapple quilt blocks.

I used Petunia, Silver, Grey, and Charcoal. For the backing, I used Pin Drop on White Black. There’s something really chick about that little hint of charcoal that really makes this mini quilt zing!

I love adding a little bit of white space to a quilt! For this mini quilt, I added a 3’’ border in Riley White.

Using my BabyLock Journey, masking tape, and Aurifil Monofilament Thread, I created a wavy quilt pattern on this stylish little project. If you want to learn more about why I use masking tape, you can watch my Fat Quarter Shop video here.

Oh, if you’re curious—I use Warm and White Craft Quilt Batting. It’s inexpensive and the size is perfect for mini quilt and small projects.

Kimberly at Fat Quarter Shop has a really awesome YouTube video on how to use the 12’’ Pineapple Quilt Block Foundation Paper. Check it out.

I hope you enjoyed this pretty, quick and easy project as much as I enjoyed making it.
