Pumpkin Patch Featuring Goose Tales Fabric...

Oh hai! Isn’t this mini quilt bootiful?

I fell in love with the black and white prints from Janet Wecker Frisch’s new collection, Goose Tales.

I’m using the All Over Motif Print in black and white for the Riley Blake Designs Block Challenge and for this mini quilt, I used the Scaredy Cat, Blind Mice, Wavy Stripes, Text, and Scattered Dots prints along with two of my favorite RBD Basics: Shades and Confetti Cottons.

They’re so good, y’all!

The somewhat creepy Mother Goose Tales along with 100 year old illustrations is the foundation of this gorgeous Halloween collection. There are 24 prints, 2 panels, and 1 border print.

The collection features Janet’s stunning art in her signature style and the panels are to die for!

The bottom of the mini quilt is comprised of (6) 6’’ nine patch blocks. The top is an abbreviated version of the pumpkins from PrimRose Cottage Quilt’s Pumpkins on Parade pattern.

The mini quilt is pieced and quilted using my BabyLock Journey. The quilting is completed using Aurifl Monofilament Thread. If you’re nervous about trying monofilament thread, don’t be! Try it on a small project first to see if you like it.

I love the built-in serpentine stitch as well as the digital dual-feed foot. The digital dual-feed foot feeds the fabric evenly, gives me great control and consistent stitches. I use the stitch-in-the-ditch foot to attach my binding from the front to the back. Check out this video to learn more.
