Bats and Boos Mystery Sew Along...Week 2 & 3

The Halloween mystery quilt along hosted by Kimberly and Fat Quarter Shop is moving frightfully ahead!

The Bats and Boos Mystery Sew Along started, August 2nd with a FREE block pattern releasing every week for four weeks! Sounds delightfully spooky and fun, doesn’t it?

Download the second and third quilt block patterns below.

Kimberly will share the FREE quilt block pattern on the Fat Quarter Shop YouTube Channel.

Catch up and watch all 3 weeks now!

This hauntingly delicious mini quilt finishes at 40 1/2” square. I’ve been sewing along using some of my favorite Riley Blake Designs basics including Blossom, Kisses, Kaleidoscope, and more! I’ve seen some really awesome versions on Kimberly’s Facebook and Instagram pages. Each one unique and spooktacular!

I took my time piecing together Week 3. My BabyLock Journey allows me to adjust my sewing speed, so my piecing accurately comes together. I also used the optional Quarter-Inch Quilting or Patchwork Foot with Guide and pressed each seam flat with my Riley Blake Designs Tailor’s Clapper. I’m very proud of the end result! I’ve heard that slow and steady wins the race. In this case, I believe it.
