crafting maker box from nancy's notions

do you love receiving a box of awesome goodies in the mail? i know i do!

[i’m guilty of forgetting what i ordered, so it’s like christmas morning every time something arrives! haha!]

let me introduce you to nancy’s notions maker box!

this non-subscription box contains all the essentials you need to finish one project. how rad is that?

there’s even a variety of boxes: crafting, quilting, machine embroidery, and sewing.

my friends at nancy’s notions sent me the crafting maker box which centers around the fabric folded star. you can follow along with the pattern book or watch the instructional video online. i watched the video and only referred to the pattern book when necessary.

the fabric folded star project is great for beginners. i was able to make 7 medium fabric folded stars in one afternoon. they’re addicting to make!

if you wanted to make this project again, its quite simple! buy additional pellon decor bond and pull from your own fabric stash. these fabric folded stars make great home decor accents, gifts, or fashion accessories.

[update: Nancy’s Notions also recommends BS336 from Bosal as an alternative to pellon decor bond.]

i wanted to highlight riley blake designs, shades basics, so i didn’t use the fabric they provided. however, the fabric is gorgeous and i love the scrappy look from the sample fabric folded stars.

i used hot glue to adhere my buttons to the fabric folded stars, but you could easily hand stitch them in place.

don’t these rainbow fabric folded stars look great?

head on over to nancy’s notions and purchase a maker box for yourself or as a gift for someone else. try something you’ve never done before! trust me, the crafting maker box was a lot of fun!
