alison glass' handcrafted indigo collection is simply amazing! when she asked me if i wanted to create something for quilt market, i couldn't say no. it's no secret, i have a soft spot in my heart for both alison and indigo anything!
in no particular order, i joined alison's handcrafted indigo and sunprint text in white on white with robert kaufman kona white and snow. i trimmed those into random sized strips from 1/2" to 2-1/2" and joined them together to create this 18x20 mini quilt. the shades of white and indigo blues add so much depth--i love it!!
using aurfil 50 weight, i chose to straight line machine quilt in random placement which i think adds additional texture. the border print was used to create the binding with the stripes of the border pattern matched so you could see them on the front and back.
this may just be one of my favorite mini's. shhh, don't tell the others.
