Introducing...Chambray

Knock, knock, remember me?

So much has changed since my last post, including a big move, but I’m excited to introduce you to chambray!

What feels like years in the making, I teamed up with Riley Blake Designs to bring you four awesome lightweight, 100% cotton chambray basics.

These 3.4 and 3.5 ounce chambrays are perfect for quilting, home decor, and apparel.

There’s light indigo, indigo, blue dot, and navy stripe and they mix beautifully with quilting cotton.

Over the last two months, we’ve been settling into our new city and new place, including our sewing room. I can’t believe we have a sewing room, y’all. While I’m still unpacking my sewjo, Jack was kind enough to make me a shirt.

Using the navy stripe chambray and a pattern from the Polynesian Pattern Company (which he adapted), he made a handsome chambray button up shirt. He used Aurifil 50 wt. thread and buttons from the former shop, Botani in New York City.

Chambray is in stores now. You better hurry, it’s selling fast.

Check out the Riley Blake Designs blog for more project and inspiration.
